Shortcode - dynamic content replacement

An extension for Store Builder and Multi-Vendor that lets you embed the content of a Block Manager block and the content of a static page directly inside product, category and page descriptions. An editor places a short tag, for example [block #45], in the description, and on the storefront the full content of the chosen block appears in its place. The same fragment of content, a banner, a delivery note or a warranty table, is maintained in one place and reused across any number of descriptions. Changing the block instantly updates every product and category that uses it, with no need to rewrite each description by hand.

After installation the add-on is ready right away and needs no external services. The General tab in the settings offers a short reminder of which fields the replacement covers and how the [block #ID] tag is built:

You enable replacement exactly where you need it. For a product you separately switch on the full description, short description, search words and promo text, and for categories and pages their descriptions. By default only replacement in the product full description is active, so the remaining fields stay untouched until you enable them yourself:

For diagnostics the add-on offers optional logging with a dedicated log viewer in the panel. You switch the data presentation mode between human-readable and developer, the latter being handy during testing:

A single content block is the heart of the solution. You create and edit blocks in the standard CS-Cart Block Manager, and each one carries the identifier you use in the tag. Change the content of that one block and it updates everywhere it has been embedded:

Inserting shared content is convenient and does not require memorising IDs. Directly under the description field there is an Insert content block panel with a list of blocks, and each row has a button that copies the ready shortcode to the clipboard. You paste the copied tag into the description wherever you want it, and the mechanism works regardless of the editor in use:

On the product page in the store the tag turns into the full block content. In this example an information banner appears in place of the tag, maintained as a single block and embedded in the description:

You reuse the same block in other places in the store. Here the banner from the very same source appears in a category description. A single change to the block content refreshes it both in product and in category descriptions that use it:

Besides blocks you can also embed the content of a static page. The [page #ID] tag inserts the content of a chosen page into the description, so longer sections, such as store information or return rules, are edited in one place and embedded wherever they are needed:

When you want to preview the embedded content without switching to the storefront, use the backend tag. In the panel, inside the description field, the [block_backend #ID] tag shows the actual block content, so you can immediately see how it will look:

Shortcode - dynamic content replacement brings order to maintaining repeated fragments in descriptions. Instead of copying the same banner or information section into dozens of products and categories, you edit it once as a block or a page and embed it with a tag. Less manual work, consistent content across all descriptions, and full control over which fields the replacement covers. In Multi-Vendor each seller manages their own blocks and their own replacement independently.
