Dark mode on the administration panel login screen

An extension for Store Builder and Multi-Vendor that decides how the administration panel looks before anyone logs in. The dark theme has been part of the panel since version 4.18.2, but the choice belongs to each user and lives in their profile, so it only takes effect after login. The screen that everyone sees first, the login form, stays bright at all times. This add-on hands the panel the missing value straight from the store configuration.

Key Features

- Three variants to choose from. Dark, light, or following the theme configured in the operating system of the person who has just opened the page. The last one keeps the panel in step with a computer that turns dark in the evening.

- Every screen available before login. The setting covers the login form, the password recovery screen and the screen where a new password is set, so the whole way back into the panel looks the same.

- The vendor panel included. In Multi-Vendor the same setting applies to the panel used by vendors, with no separate configuration to fill in.

- Nothing changes after login. From the moment someone signs in, the preference saved in their profile takes over again. The add-on does not touch it and overrides nobody's choice.

- One setting, nothing to learn. A single field in the add-on configuration, left by default on the operating system variant. No templates, no styles and no database tables of its own.

Good to know

- CS-Cart or Multi-Vendor 4.18.2 or newer. That release introduced the dark panel theme in both editions at once, and the add-on leans on the machinery already present in the core. On older stores the core itself stops the installation.

- It uses the core, it does not replace it. The add-on supplies the colour scheme value that the panel templates already know how to read, which is why it goes through upgrades without any work on your side.

A bright login form in an otherwise dark panel is a small thing, and everyone working in the evening notices it anyway. This add-on takes it off the table, free of charge.
